L’Heure Bleue diffuses its atmosphere at the very moment when the sun disappears beneath the horizon and the sky is painted with night’s velvet. L'Heure Bleue Eau de Toilette is an emblematic perfumed creation of the Maison Guerlain. The Guerlain's perfumer celebrates through this fragrance, in the most sensual and ""skin"" way, the moment when ""the night has not found its star yet"". An anthem representing the softness of life and romantism.
The sun has set, but night has not yet fallen. It’s the suspended hour… The hour when one finally finds oneself in renewed harmony with the world and the light,"" Jacques Guerlain liked to say. He was referring to his favourite moment, when ""the night has not yet found its star"". It was this fleeting sensation that he tried to express in 1912 with L'Heure Bleue.
Designed by Georges Chevalier, its iconic “inverted heart” bottle is underscored with graceful scrolls typical of Art Nouveau. Its avant-garde stopper, in the form of a hollowed heart, evokes the delicate romanticism of this perfumery masterpiece and represented a real technical feat at the time.

New Signature Scent
I have always been fascinated with the pre-WWI era, and finding a perfume that has been launched in 1912 was an unbelievably valuable find for me. I am 24 years old, and I understood that a perfume this old might not be wearable for me, but I would at least be able to display it on my vanity. Well, guess what? This is the most successful blind buy ever! This is my new signature perfume. After the initial burst of spices and floral notes, the fragrance settles into a sensual vanilla powdery scent. Unlike other vintage fragrances I tried, it is not overwhelming, and is appropriate for office wear. I wear it every single day now and am thinking of buying another bottle. Thank you Guerlain for making these masterpieces and helping me find my signature scent after years of switching different perfumes.

L’heure bleu
My mother has worn this scent in all forms more than 50 years. It is the only scent she wears. I keep her well stocked. I wish the lotion, powder and soap were still available for her. Such an extraordinary subtle scent.

I purchased L’Heure Bleue and find the scent intoxicating…while it lasts…and that’s only 10 minutes. Very disappointing. I don’t think I’d buy any more Guerlain perfumes if they are like this.
