Directions
Wet face and work Kiehl's Facial Fuel Energizing Face Wash into a lather. Massage onto skin in an upward and outward motion, avoiding the immediate eye area. Rinse well and follow with a moisturiser, if desired. May be used both AM and PM.

It's changed...for the worse (Sad Face)
I've used this product for number of years (at least 6/7) and the latest purchase has clearly changed in formulation. It's much more liquid than it ever used to be, does not have the menthol smell/feel it used to, is not that easy to rinse off and now smells like washing up liquid - Hugely disappointed as I'll now have to find something else

Time to find a new staple sadly.
This product has been my staple cleanser for years and made me forget I had sensitive combination skin, which is why I’m sad to say I am looking for a new staple as I type this. After my 1L bottle started to run out recently I purchased a 250ml replacement (1L out of stock everywhere for some reason). I have used it a few times now and confident the formula has been changed. I notice the new formula is working for some, but it’s definitely not working for my skin—my face no longer feels clean after washes. I have been using double the amount of cleanser I would normally use thinking I wasn’t using enough product for it to properly foam and give my face the squeaky clean feel I am used to, but it is clear now that the product has changed. No amount of product cleanses my face the way it used to. Small thing but I noticed the new bottles say “revitalising” instead of “energising” now, which, again, suggests the formula has been changed.

Old formula destroyed. Do not buy!! Loyal Customer
I’ve used the product for over 15 years. It was great, refreshing, non drying, fresh and invigorating. The new formula is weak, does not clean, is sluggy and not refreshing. I will not be buying again unless they bring back the old formula. I don’t buy any sustainability nonsense. Please provide that product to the minority who care about saving the planet over an excellent product. This is extremely disappointing. Loyal Customer lost.

Not the same product - new formula is dreadful
I've been happily using this for well over a decade but the new formula introduced sometime in 2024 is dreadful - it is much thinner (you need about 4 times as much or more) and smells unpleasant. It feels it should be fraudulent to even try and sell this as the same product. Unfortunately, despite having been a loyal customer for many years, Kiehl's seem to be discontinuing (Smooth Glide Shave Lotion) or messing with the formulation (here) of my staples, which means I am having to look elsewhere.

Disappointing
I really love Kiehls products and feel like my skin has really improved since I started using them. However, I’m not happy with this product. The consistency and the smell just isn’t right. Doesn’t even feel like there’s any benefit in using it. I was looking for a slightly more affordable option and thought that an affordable option on Kiehls would be better than most others. Really disappointed.

New formula is terrible 👎
Been using this product for over 5 years and always been very good . Unfortunately due to its recent formula changes it’s now very poor to use . You need to use 4x as much liquid to be able to wash your face and does not leave you with the fresh feel the old formula did . It may be better for the plannet but it’s not better for your customers ! Sorry , won’t be buying this again .
