Product Description

The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane is a lightweight plant-derived solution to support healthy hydration.

Squalane is a saturated and stable hydrocarbon that is found naturally in the skin. It has very high emollience, is an exceptional hydrator and can prevent ongoing loss of hydration that impairs dermal suppleness. Squalane is non-comedogenic and is suitable for use on all skin types. It can also be applied to hair to increase heat protection, add shine and reduce breakage potential.

Vegan, gluten-free.

This product uses 100% pure plant-derived Squalane that is ECOCERT approved and is a USDA Certified Bio-based Product.

Directions

Apply a few drops daily or as needed to entire face ideally after water-based treatments.

Ingredients

Squalane.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Many Uses! I use this mixed with a few drops of hyaluronic acid as an after-shower moisturizer on my skin before I towel dry. It's excellent as a year-round moisturizer. Can also be used for removing last bits of makeup from around the eyes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Using it for years I swear by squalane oil to add as a top layer over my moisturiser. This stuff is perfect for extra moisture that's light and not too occlusive. I definitely use more in winter than summer, but I use it all year round.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Thinner then before I’ve been buying this for years and this is the first time it feels more watered down/much thinner. Product formulas changing/becoming cheaper has been a concern of mine since they were bought by Estee Lauder :( fingers crossed this was a one off but something to be mindful of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from dry skin must have Bought this 6 months ago so I could really judge the impact to my skin, and it has been amazing! I have dry skin as a result of contraceptives and so was forced to switch to a more hydrating routine. I use morning/night on my skin and on my type 3c bleached curly hair ends and this stuff is a blessing. ( my hair doesn't grease up and I can go 10days+ without it looking oily so bear in mind) It is a greasy sort of consistency, as with most hydrating products, which makes my skin glow immediately after but soon soaks in, doubling as a great makeup primer for glowy skin. This product isn't needed for non dry skin, imo opt for something like hyaluronic acid instead! I pair it with the squalene cleanser and moisturiser, and intermittently introduce salicylic acid and a retinol, double cleansing at night and not cleansing in the morning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So good I use this on my neck and chest and applying the marine hyaluronic acid. This squalene says there’s no oil, but it feels oily when you first put it on, but soon the oily feeling goes away, and leaves your skin so soft.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Glides on so smooth Beautiful glides on, but my skin is so dry, it worked ok. I need more of cream base. Either way still great for my skin

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WHY?! Why, why WHY don't you produce hemisqualane anymore??? My hair is very thin and often gets frizzy; of all the products I have tried over the years (even very famous and expensive ones), none have ever given me the amazing results of your hemisqualane. I also tried this product (squalane), but it's impossible on my hair, because it stays greasy and sticks together in strands (My hair is too fragile, I never dry my hair with a hairdryer). When I noticed that you no longer produce hemisqualane, I bought all the bottles still available, and in my city I found a shop that still had some, I bought 50 of them... Please, please, please! put hemisqualane back into production, for which I have found no substitute... butI love you anyway

Can this product be used on eyebrows.

Asked by: Ann
I use it all over my face and any left on my fingers I run them through my hair. If you just want to use it on your eyebrows I would say just be careful not to get any in your eyes. Hope this is helpful.
